Often called Clueless by his friends back in Jersey (you know who you are), he's a rogue organic chemist currently working as a technical writer. Does this make sense to you?
Brought up in New Jersey (where the weak are killed and eaten, he'll be quick to point out), he lived there 18 years before packing up shop and living in the wilds of upstate New York for a few years. He made some excuses for doing so, most notable and widespread were his claims that he went to Cornell University up in Ithaca, NY (and a more centrally isolated locale one could not easily imagine). Some time later he got a nice piece of paper from the folks there, saying he was inordinately well qualified to be a biochemist, or a chemist, or a cell biologist, or somesuch.
And thus, with a brief stopoff in Cincinnati to work for Procter and Gamble, he made his way westward to his Promised Land, the San Francisco Bay Area. After putting together a thesis and doing much painful work that included teaching premeds the art of organic chemistry, he got another fine piece of paper, this time from Stanford, saying he was even more qualified to do organic chemistry. Hurrah!! The world was his oyster. How could it not be?
So, of course, he got a job as a technical writer instead, working for a startup company in Palo Alto, named WebTV Networks, Inc. As part of his new job, he does documentation, frequently in the form of web pages. Thus, feeling a compulsion to have a home page of his own, he put together something lacking any wit or forethought.
So, there you have it. The who and the why. Still interested in learning more? Not bored yet? Too much time on your hands? Well, then. By all means continue forward, and explore the virtual realm he has created for your viewing enjoyment.
